2863. Nokia's N95-3 sees first firmware update

Version 11.2.009 firmware is out and ready to dance on the North American flavor of the N95. This marks the first update for Nokia's N95-3. So far, we've found a browser update with font size and history list. We're not expecting the type of overhaul seen for Europe's classic model but we're still digging for more. Anyone else finding fixes for their favorite nits? If so, let us know in the comments.

2977. RFID deadbolt system also features remote browser control

Given all the crazy ways we've seen to get a door open, a simple RFID getup is pretty ho-hum, but this version goes above and beyond by adding in browser control, including a custom mobile browser control page. Alan Parekh created the system, which interfaces a standard keypad deadbolt to a Vista PC running the Phidget RFID software and a web server. Waving an RFID badge in front of the door will trigger the lock, as will a web app running on the machine. 2992. Segway Polo match featuring Woz to be broadcast live on the 'net

We know you're pretty stoked to hear that a live Segway Polo match will be coming to a browser near you this Sunday, but really, you don't want your office mates to come ask what's getting you all excited. Apparently, The Digital Lifestyle is gearing up to bring us "the world's first live broadcast of a full Segway Polo match," and yes, Steve Wozniak will reportedly be in attendance. Go on, cancel any other plans you had for December 16th at 1:00PM EST -- your secret is safe with us.
